Tomato War

Hello Men,

Are you ready?

Men of UCO. A call to arms!

The annual Tomato War is this Friday starting at 7:30pm at the Servants of the Word center at 13770 Island Lake Road, Chelsea, MI 48118.
This is a Tomato slinging capture-the-flag fight in the dark woods. Winner take all. Bonfire and BBQ wieners will follow.

Are you man enough? Do you want to represent the MSU team? Will you carry victory away from buckeyes and wolverines?

Good. I thought so.

You'll want to bring:
-$5 to cover event expenses (food, etc).
-dark clothes that you can get dirty and ripped
-readiness to sign the accident waiver (really, this is standard for dangerous events like this)
-courage and a good attitude

Rides leave at 6:30 from Lansing. For rides, call Brian at 517-896-8265 or Corey at 517-204-1782. Please let us know if you're driving so that we can get rides for other guys, too.

We'll get back around midnight.

But, we also have a BONUS... SATURDAY!
You can choose to stay overnight post-war for a Saturday "retreat". We'll have:
-A Big Breakfast 9-10am
-Morning Prayer and Meditation 10-11am (cleanup 11-noon)
-A Manly Hiking trip on the Potowatami trail 12-3pm
-Lord's Day Celebration with the Servants of the Word 4-8pm
-(maybe) watching the MSU vs UofM game from a videotape 8-10pm and then back to Lansing late
I know, there's a big football game Saturday afternoon - that's great. I expect that most of you will go watch that game, but I encourage you to think about staying overnight through lunch.
Please let me know via email or phone (517-896-8265) by Thursday at 2pm if you'd like to attend any of this Saturday stuff - especially the Lord's Day.

Your mission is clear.

P.S. Can anyone help me get the tomatoes from 1-2pm Wednesday at an MSU farm?

We should have some photos posted here post-war. Keep your eyes peeled...
